Introducing our custom ornament for Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland, the World’s Largest Christmas Store! This cottage is a replica of the St. Nicholas’ chapel in Oberndorf, Austria, where “Silent Night” was first played. It’s said that when the church’s organ broke just before Christmas in 1818, Joseph Mohr had to get creative. Using a poem he had written, he and his friend Franz Gruber composed the now famous “Silent Night,” playing it for the congregation using a guitar.

Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland has a life-sized version of the chapel that you can visit at their store in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Click here to visit their website.

Frankenmuth is the only location where you can find two of our custom cottages right down the street from one another. Look at the Frankenmuth Clock Co. Cottage.
